In order to deliver the best results for our city and stakeholders we’ve structured our organisation around a strong business framework guided by an experienced and independent Board of Directors drawn from e-commerce and industry.

LEISURE TOURISM
In our role as the Regional Tourism Organisation and key tourism body for the Greater Brisbane region we have the pleasure and privilege of proclaiming to the world that Brisbane is a great holiday or short break destination.
We work with local councils, tourism operators, industry colleagues and our friends at Tourism Queensland and Tourism Australia to foster the growth of the local tourism industry through product development and packaging, training and education, the Brisbane Visitor Information Centre, sales missions, trade shows and familiarisations. You name it – we’re there as the industry advocate for the Greater Brisbane region.
DESTINATION MARKETING
We’re the guardians of the city’s image. The champions of the Brisbane brand. We’re the people who create and implement the creative marketing strategies that raise the profile of the city and promote Brisbane’s image as a confident, vibrant and exciting destination.
We take care of marketing campaigns, research projects, advertising decisions and ever popular collateral pieces like the Experience Brisbane and Surrounds Official Visitors’ Guide. We’re also the people in the know who have the task of promoting the Queen Street Mall as Queensland’s premier shopping destination.

MAJOR EVENTS BRISBANE
Established in July 2006 with support from Brisbane City Council, our Major Events team is paving the way for Brisbane to compete more effectively in the race to host high-profile national and international events.
Through this exciting initiative, we work with the Queensland Events Corporation and industry to help attract, develop and support major events. From international sporting encounters to world-class art exhibitions, we’re building Brisbane’s reputation as an exciting events destination.

CONVENTION BUREAU
As the city’s Convention Bureau it’s our job to position and promote Brisbane as the destination of choice for meetings and business events. From the early stages of bidding for a conference to the final stages of organising post conference tours, we deliver clients a comprehensive range of free, independent services to help ease the way through the event planning process. INTERNATIONAL TRADE DEVELOPMENT
Our International Trade Development Desk was established in 2007 to capitalise on opportunities for Brisbane firms to develop international trade relationships with Brisbane’s Sister Cities throughout the Asia Pacific region. The Sister City program is run through the Lord Mayor’s Office, Brisbane City Council and is supported by our International Trade Development activities.
