High Tea in the Stamford Plaza Lobby - 3pm - 5 pm Every Weekday
High Tea is now being served in the elegant surroundings of Stamford Plaza Brisbane’s lobby from 3pm – 5pm every weekday. The High Tea lobby presentation is a sophisticated way to enjoy the rather refined British afternoon tea experience.
Presented on a three-tiered stand laiden with an exquisite selection of dainty sweet and savoury treats, prepared by Stamford’s team of talented pasty chefs, it is a delightful way to spend an afternoon.
Great care is taken to brew in a time honoured tradition using a selection of only the finest loose leaf tea varieties from Dilmah’s premium range. The sounds of the hotel’s lobby string ensemble adds a wonderful ambience and ensures that all senses are catered to in a fashion to match the exceptional quality fare.

Stamford Plaza Brisbane strikes gold and wins the State award in the inaugural Dilmah High Tea State Professional Challenge. Each culinary team was required to produce original recipes and pairings. Assessment was based on originality, creativity, taste, respect and understanding of the specific tea, harmony of flavour and presentation and style.
Stamford Plaza’s Head Pastry Chef Eilidh Fitzsimmons, showcased a stunning high tea presentation to win Gold for Queensland said, “Emphasis was placed on the use of ingredients sourced from local suppliers”.
