Associations Forum National Conference a huge success for Brisbane

Australia’s premier event for associations, charities and not for profit sector, the 7th Associations Forum National Conference was last week held for the second consecutive year at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre’s recently expanded BCEC on Grey Street.
Brisbane Marketing and BCEC won the right to host the conference in 2011, and the Convention Bureau team subsequently provided delegate boosting and promotional support for the conference.
The event attracted approximately 450 delegates including CEOs, senior managers, regulators, academics, consultants and exhibitors and featured speakers including Michael Schaper, Deputy Chair from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and Amanda Tattersall, Director at Sydney Alliance.
Brisbane Marketing’s Convention Bureau leveraged the impressive delegation by exhibiting at the conference and hosting additional networking opportunities providing a chance to catch up with existing and potential clients.
The stand was an excellent platform to showcase the newly launched Brisbane Event Planning Directory (www.brisbaneeventplanner.com.au ).
Twitter was used throughout the conference to communicate with delegates and followers about the excellent program and some tips about what was on in Brisbane.
