International award for Brisbane Convention Bureau

Two Brisbane Convention Bureau initiatives were internationally recognised this week at an international meetings industry awards ceremony.
The Brisbane Marketing Convention Bureau’s
Meeting Planners Guide and
Unique Venues Guide
were announced silver medalists in the Best Brochure category at the prestigious international Meetings Industry Marketing Awards (MIMA) in London.
Brisbane Marketing Convention Bureau Director Annabel Sullivan said the award, which was presented at a banquet dinner in London, was great recognition of the world-class venues and event services on offer in Brisbane.
“As Brisbane continues to grow the Brisbane Marketing Conventions Bureau has met this growth, consistently producing new and innovative ways to showcase all that is on offer in Australia’s new world city,” she said.
“This award is a ringing endorsement of the forward thinking, innovative and collaborative business event service offerings in Brisbane."
“The Brisbane Marketing Convention Bureau is committed to ensuring it continues to build on what we offer event planners, and the opportunities we will offer our members to reach this important audience," Ms Sullivan said.
“We have just combined our award-winning Meeting Planners and Unique Venues Guides and produced the online Brisbane Event Planning Directory.
“This dedicated online city directory is the first of its kind in Australia and was driven by the demand for online business tools.”
Businesses listed on the new directory will also get exposure in a monthly update sent to event planners which will feature up-to-date news about venue upgrades, new menus, function facilities and other important information.
The monthly update is sent via email to all subscribers and latest updates also display on the directory homepage, offering venues and service providers a great way to keep their brand in the minds of meeting and event planners.
Advertisers will receive the first monthly report on directory traffic, enquiries and click rates soon.
