Businesses benefit from 24/7 Brisbane business hotline
Lord Mayor Graham Quirk has cemented his commitment to the city’s growing business community, through the launch of a 24/7 hotline exclusively for businesses.
The Brisbane Business Hotline, 133BNE, which is open for businesses to call now, provides a one-stop-shop for local, state, interstate and international companies seeking information and advice on council services.
By calling 133BNE, businesses of all sizes can access information on a range of topics, including but not limited to licensing, waste services and upcoming business events, through to development applications, transport services and business opportunities.
The need for a hotline was identified during industry forums held to develop the 20-year Economic Development Plan that would guide the doubling of Brisbane’s economy over the next 20 years. As a result, the hotline is designed to be a flexible service, which will adapt and expand its offerings as businesses’ needs diversify.
By introducing a priority hotline for business, Council is able to streamline business related enquiries to minimise response times. This enables Council to separate business enquiries from those of the general public and provide companies with a responsive service, which is staffed by dedicated and knowledgeable business advisors.
The Brisbane Business Hotline adheres to the same policies as Council’s award-winning Contact Centre, meaning 80 per cent of calls will be answered within 20 seconds.
