The Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) is the national platform for digital tourism information in Australia.
The ATDW system is a central distribution and storage facility for tourism industry product and destination information from all Australian states and territories. This content is compiled in a nationally agreed format and is electronically accessible by tourism business owners (operators), wholesalers, retailers and distributors for use in their websites and booking systems.
There are many benefits to tourism business owners when they join the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse.
These include:
• cost-effective online marketing which includes distribution through state/territory, Tourism Australia and commercial websites;
• access to the millions of dollars that the State/Territory and Australian Governments spend in marketing Australia to the world;
• supply of business information once only, but distribution to multiple partners;
• opportunity to control quality of information;
• inclusion in Australia’s most comprehensive tourism database and the trusted national information platform;
• licensed distributors can publish the ATDW information on their own websites, further increasing exposure for operators;
• no disruption to trade relationships – travel distributors can take advantage of the content to supplement their content or to ease their content management costs; and
• participation in industry campaigns and initiatives offered by Tourism Queensland (Queensland tourism businesses).
