Michelle Roennfeldt, Leisure Tourism Senior Executive
Michelle Roennfeldt is responsible for building high profile awareness of the leisure tourism appeal of Brisbane City and Urban Villages: to maximise brand support, grow visitation and yield; help in the development of the overall leisure tourism strategy, campaigns and sales activities to position and promote Brisbane and the greater Brisbane region locally, nationally and internationally; and to assist in the governance and delivery of projects including QTS, DMP and RTIP. Michelle’s extensive career covers 20 years in tourism, wholesale, hospitality and theme park industries.
Luke Edwards, Leisure Tourism Executive
Luke Edwards manages Leisure Tourism activities for the Scenic Rim, Country Valleys and Ipswich regions, acting as a key liaison between operators and the tourism industry. Luke has been involved with Regional Tourism Organisations for the past eight years and holds a Bachelor of Tourism degree from Central Queensland University. Luke brings to his Brisbane Marketing role extensive industry experience including product development, destination marketing and international and domestic sales missions.
Jan Sommer, Leisure Tourism Executive
Jan Sommer is responsible for Leisure Tourism activities in the Moreton Bay and Islands region, working to increase awareness, product knowledge and visitation. Jan is also the Destination Management Officer (Greater Brisbane region) and in this capacity she facilitates investigation and pre-feasibility studies for projects identified in the Regional Tourism Investment and Infrastructure Plan (RTIIP). Jan has extensive experience in regional and local tourism in New South Wales, South Australia and Queensland. She has also had management responsibility for the development and operation of major regional tourism attractions.
Ashleigh Musson, Leisure Tourism Coordinator
Ashleigh Musson assists the Leisure Tourism team with the delivery of key projects including seasonal campaigns, product development, website maintenance, international and domestic strategies and tourism collateral. Previous to joining Brisbane Marketing, Asheigh worked in sales and marketing for a luxury hotel brand and also has experience in public relations and media. She holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Queensland University of Technology (QUT).
