Megan Barron, Director, Major Events & CBD Retail

Megan Barron leads the teams responsible for driving economic and social value to Brisbane through the promotion of major events, city branding strategies, activation programs and marketing campaigns that showcase the retail and destination offer of Brisbane CBD. Megan has over ten years experience in the property sector, previously in the role of sales and marketing for multi-award winning development group Citimark Properties. Megan was a member of an Executive Management Group reporting directly to Joint Managing Partners, Angus Johnson and Robert Pullar, well known and highly regarded within the property industry, delivering over $1.5b in residential, commercial and retail projects located across the eastern seaboard of Australia. Megan was awarded the 2011 UDIA Women in Development Excellence Award for Outstanding Achievement by a Woman in Strategic Management.
Andrew Hopkins, Manager, Events, CBD Retail

The longest serving member of the CBD Retail team, Andrew Hopkins has worked at Brisbane Marketing in varying roles for more than 15 years. With a background in sound production, his extensive event production experience has seen him manage the Valley Fiesta, coordinate Christmas events each year and manage the daily events at the Queen Street Mall Stage and Reddacliff Place.
Kelly Poulter, Executive, Marketing & Events, CBD Retail

Having completed a Bachelor of Business majoring in Marketing and Advertising, Kelly Poulter commenced her role at Brisbane Marketing over five years ago after working for several years in the marketing team at Lenard’s. Progressing from Brisbane Marketing’s Marketing team, Kelly is now a dedicated member of the CBD Retail team and manages the execution of The City’s marketing campaigns.
Emma Sayer, Coordinator, Major Events & CBD Retail

Emma Sayer joined the CBD Retail team after completing a Bachelor of Business Management with a major in Marketing, as well as interning within the marketing department at Brisbane Marketing. She assists the team in delivering its key objectives, with a strong focus on the management of online content. Emma is also the Coordinator for the Major Events team.
