Brisbane Marketing established Study Brisbane in 2009 to develop the international student market – Brisbane’s largest export industry. Study Brisbane is responsible for developing and expanding the city’s destination brand awareness for the international education sector.
Through the Study Brisbane program, Brisbane Marketing monitors the sustainability of international student education in Brisbane and collaborates with private and government sectors to help plan for appropriate support for social inclusion, accommodation, transport, safety and graduate employment.
We work with peak industry bodies and all levels of government to ensure Brisbane is consistently profiled as the pre-eminent location for international students in Australia. Some of our key affiliates include Austrade, Australia Education International, Australian Council for Private Education and Training, Brisbane City Council, English Australia, Queensland Government, Tourism Australia and Tourism Queensland.
The Study Brisbane membership program includes registered education institutions ranging from schools and vocational providers to English language colleges and universities, and provides a whole-of city approach to developing Brisbane as an international student destination of choice.
