Brisbane Marketing is the official Convention Bureau for Brisbane, charged with promoting Brisbane nationally and internationally as Australia’s new world city and the destination of choice for business events.
Business events bring considerable economic benefits to Brisbane, with business event delegates spending on average five times that of leisure travellers. With that in mind, our Convention Bureau plays a vital role in securing business events for the city by providing meeting planners and event organisers with advice, support and a range of complimentary independent services.
The Bureau’s services include preparing conference bids and requests for proposals, hosting an extensive program of site inspections and familiarisations, and producing key industry resources such as the Meeting Planners’ Guide and Unique Venues Guide. The Bureau also maintains a strong presence at trade shows, road shows and industry events which are all essential in raising the profile of Brisbane.
The members of the Convention Bureau, including the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, key venues, hotels and service suppliers, represent the great depth and diversity of Brisbane's business events product offer.
Under the collective banner of “Team Brisbane”, the Bureau works closely with members to attract national and international business events centered on Brisbane's key industry sectors including digital industries, infrastructure and life sciences.
